Washington Land Use, Referendum 48 (1995)
From Ballotpedia
veto referendum, was on the November 7, 1995 ballot in the State of Washington, where it was overturned an act of the Washington State Legislature.
R-48 challenged a law recently enacted by the Washington State Legislature: Chapter 98, Laws of 1995, originally certified as Initiative Measure No.164. A "yes" vote was a vote in favor of that law, a "no" vote was a vote against that law.
Chapter 98, Laws of 1995 restricted land-use regulations and expanded the liability of local governments to compensate landowners for reduced property values of land brought about by government regulations.
