Washington Four-Year Tax Levy, Amendment 9, H.J.R. 4208 was on the November 4, 1997 election ballot in Washington as a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved.

The question asked of voters was, "Shall the Washington Constitution be amended to permit voter-approved school district levies to run for an optional four-year period, rather than the current two-year maximum?"[1]
