St. Claire County Property Tax Extension Limitation Vote (2010)

From Ballotpedia
Jump to: navigation, search

A St. Claire County property tax extension limitation vote, also known as PTELL (Property Tax Extension Limitation Law), may take place in St. Clair County in Illinois on November 10, 2010 if the group "Our Tax Money" is successful in placing the ballot measure on the county-wide ballot.

The proposed ballot measure would limit property tax increases to 5 percent or inflation, whichever is greater.[1]

The "Our Tax Money" group is also supporting school board candidates for O'Fallon School Districts 90 and 203 who have signed a pledge promising to adhere to five principles of financial prudence, accountability to taxpayers and support for a ballot measure intended to cap property tax increases.
