A Michigan Property Tax Reduction Amendment, Proposal D,, also known as Tisch Amendment II, was on the November 1980 ballot in Michigan as an initiated constitutional amendment, where it was defeated.

Proposal D would have decreased property taxes and prohibit new types of homestead taxes; require 60% voter approval to raise state taxes or fees; require partial state reimbursement to local units for lost income; limit legislature’s ability to change tax exemptions or credits or change per pupil formula.
