Oregon Increase Fuel Tax and Vehicle Fees, Ballot Measure 80 (May 2000)

Oregon Ballot Measure 80 (2000) or Senate Joint Resolution (SJR) 11 is a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment that would allow revenues from motor vehicle fuel taxes and from other taxes or fees imposed on motor vehicles to be used for policing highways, roads, streets and roadside rest areas. The revenues may not replace moneys currently appropriated for police agencies but may only be used to increase service levels from the levels in effect on the effective date of the amendment.
