Oklahoma State Question 421 (Initiative #274) appeared on the 1964 ballot in Oklahoma. It received 417,638 "Yes" votes and 405,612 "No" votes; however, 474,666 votes were required for passage, so it failed.
It was an initiated constitutional amendment.
The objective of the measure was to authorize local taxes for the support of school districts.
