Ohio Referred Issue 6 was a measure regarding payment of debt and property tax limitations. This ballot measure was referred to the ballot by the Ohio State Legislature. It failed, with 43.1% of voters in favor.
Text of measure
On the ballot in the June 8, 1976 primary election.
To require political divisions to make provisions for payment of debt from taxation or other sources and to specify property tax limitations (Adopt Art. XII, sec. 7; repeal Art. XII, Sec. 11).
