Ohio Initiated Issue No. 1 was on the November 7, 1972 ballot in Ohio as an initiated constitutional amendment, where it was defeated.

  • Yes: 1,164,653 (31.2%)
  • No: 2,571,516 (68.2%) Defeatedd

Issue 2, had it been approved, would have established conditions for and prohibitions upon the levy of a tax on income except a municipal income tax or increasing the rate thereof without the approval of the majority of the voting electors.
