A North Carolina Supermajority Vote Required to Levy Taxes may appear on the 2012 ballot in North Carolina as a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment.

The measure would require a three-fifths vote of the legislature to levy state taxes.^[1]

The proposed measure would ask voters:^[2]

Constitutional amendment requiring at least a three-fifths vote of the General Assembly to enact a law imposing a State tax.
