New Mexico Amendment 5 provides an exemption from property taxation for property that is owned and occupied by a veteran who has a permanent and total service-connected disability and that has been adapted to the veteran's disability. It was on the November 3, 1998 election ballot in New Mexico. It passed, with 66% of voters in favor.
This measure is a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment.
