The Missouri Legislative Term Limits Amendment may appear on the November 2012 ballot in the state of Missouri as a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment.

The measure would extend legislative term limits from eight years per legislative chamber to 12 years in each chamber for a maximum of 24 years.^[1]

The proposal - House Joint Resolution 41 - was filed in the Missouri General Assembly on December 22, 2011 by Rep. Jamilah Nasheed.

In order to qualify for the ballot, the measure required approval by a majority of the members of each chamber of the Missouri General Assembly.
