The Conservation Sales Tax, also known as Missouri Issue 1 was on the August 7, 1984 primary election ballot in Missouri.
It introduced a sales tax increase for state parks and soil and water conservation. This measure was referred to the primary election ballot by the Missouri State Legislature.
It passed with 50.1% of voters in favor.
Text of measure
Levies additional sales tax of one-tenth of 1%, one-half to be used for state park purposes; one-half for soiil and water conservation purposes. Expires five years after adoption.[1]
