The Mississippi Flag Referendum, also known as the State Flag Election, was on the April 17, 2001 special election ballot in Mississippi, where the new proposed state flag was defeated.

Note: Rather than a "yes"/"no" vote, the referendum asked voters to choose between Proposition A, the 1894 flag or Proposition B, a proposed new flag.
