The Michigan Sales Tax ballot measure, also known as Proposal A, was a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment on the June, 1993 ballot in Michigan, where it was defeated.
Proposal A would have increased the state's sales tax at the same time that it limited property tax assessments.[1]
