An effort to recall Michael Hancock from his position as the Mayor of Denver, Colorado was launched in late 2011. The effort did not result in a recall election. The reason for the recall, according to reports, is due to Occupy Denver protests allegedly being disrupted by city police, as well as decisions to ban tents at those demonstrations, leaving protesters cold. According to Occupy Denver, since those events have been often occurrences, the have turned their focus to who they allegedly believe is the reason behind them - Mayor Hancock.[1]
