The Maryland Secretary of Natural Resources is a state executive position in the Maryland state government. The Secretary serves as head of the Department of Natural Resources and is responsible for overseeing the preservation, development and use of Maryland's natural resources.[1]

The current officeholder is John Griffin. He was appointed by Gov. Martin O'Malley in 2007.

Compensation
