The Maine Watercraft Property Tax Amendment was on the 1983 ballot in Maine, where it was defeated.

The amendment was legislatively-referred as an amendment to the Maine Constitution by the Maine Legislature.

The measure, had it passed, would have allowed the state to create a property tax exemption for watercraft without being required to reimburse municipalities for 50% of the property tax revenue loss.
