The Maine Watercraft Excise Tax Amendment was on the 1984 ballot in Maine, where it was approved. It was the 153rd constitutional amendment added to the Maine Constitution.

The amendment was legislatively-referred to the ballot by the Maine Legislature.

The measure provides that no watercraft would be taxed as personal property, provided there is an excise tax on some watercraft collected and used by municipalities.
