Court earned her BA in English from the University of Colorado at Denver in 1975. She went on to receive her MPA in Public Affairs from the University of Colorado at Denver in 1996.
Court has worked in the following positions: director for the Mayor's Office of Neighborhood Response, director for the Mayor's Office of Volunteerism, public issues consultant, and as American government and political science adjunct instructor for ITT Technical Institute and Red Rocks Community College.
Issues
Court did not provide answers to the Colorado State Legislative Election 2008 Political Courage Test. The test provides voters with how a candidate would vote on the issues if elected.[1]

- Require that petition drive management companies who hire paid circulators go through a licensing process.
- Circulators would be required to go through a government-sponsored training procedure before they would be allowed to collect signatures legally.[2]
