A question about whether to recall Kevin Hudson from his elected position as a city councilor of Vernonia, Oregon, in Columbia County took place in a special recall election on June 10th, 2011. Hudson was recalled from his seat.[1] Two other Vernonia city councilors, Willow Burch and Marilyn Nicks, were recalled on August 4th, 2011. [2]

Reasons for recall
Sharon Bernal led the recall effort. The firing of interim City Administrator Bill Haack, the resignation of interim Chief of Police Michael Connor and the firing of police sergeant Michael Kay caused a backlash against Hudson. [2]
