John Overington (b. June 5, 1946) is a Republican member of the West Virginia House of Delegates. He has represented District 55 since 1984.

Overington attended Shepherd College. He went on to receive his BS in Chemistry from Washington College in 1969. He then attended Graduate Studies in Philosophy at George Washington University.

Overington worked as a chemistry teacher for Prince George's County Board of Education from 1969 to 1972. He has also worked in the following positions: Public Relations, Publication Production Supervisor for Harry Kahn Associates, Industrial Relations for Grove Manufacturing, and Weekly Newspaper Editor for the Community Sentinel.[1]

Overington is running for re-election in the 2012 election for West Virginia House of Delegates, District 62. Overington ran unopposed in the May 8 primary election and is unchallenged in the general election which takes place on November 6, 2012.[2][3]

Overington was re-elected in the November 2, 2010 general election. He defeated by Democrat Donn Marshall in the general election. He was unopposed in the primary election.[4][5][6]
