The Idaho Local Sales Tax Initiative may appear on the November 6, 2012 ballot in the state of Idaho as an initiated state statute. The measure would allow for local communities to implement a local sales tax in addition to the state sales tax. According to reports, the measure's supporters are currently gathering signatures to be placed on the 2012 ballot.[1]

Path to the ballot

Supporters of the measure have until the May 1, 2012 petition drive deadline to turn in the required amount of valid signatures, 47,432, in order to be placed on the ballot.
