Gregory Stumbo (b. August 14, 1951) is a Democratic member of the Kentucky House of Representatives. He has represented the 95th District since 2009, and has been Speaker of the House since 2009.

Stumbo previously served in the House from 1980-2004, and was Attorney General for the Commonwealth of Kentucky from 2004-2007.

He has also worked as Martin City Attorney, Trial Commissioner for the Martin County District Court, and Assistant Attorney for Floyd County.

He is Chair of the Child Sexual Abuse & Exploitation Prevention Board, and a member of the American Bar Association, Drift-McDowell Jaycees, Environmental Crimes Work Group, and Kentucky Bar Association.[1]

Stumbo is running for re-election in the 2012 election for Kentucky House of Representatives District 95. He ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on May 22, 2012. The general election takes place on November 6, 2012. [2][3]

Stumbo's opponent in the November 2 general election was Republican candidate James Williams. According to official results, Stumbo defeated Williams by a margin of 7,275 to 3,140. [4]
