A vote about whether to recall Ed Foster from his position as mayor of Quartzsite, in La Paz County, Arizona, took place on August 30, 2011. Foster was recalled from his seat.
Background
Ed Foster had been accusing other town officials of abusing their power. He also became embattled with the town's Chief of Police, resulting in a no confidence vote by half of the town's police department.[1]
Election results
After Foster's defeat, Lizarraga was sworn into office at a special town council meeting on September 6th, 2011.[2]
