Contents

An effort to recall Donnie Dufour and Tommy Craig from their positions as school board members of the DeSoto School Board, Louisiana, was launched in June 2011.[1]

Ronnie Morris and Betty Carter are co-chairs of the recall campaign targeting Craig. Ernest Andrew Drain and Gary Belton are co-chairs of the recall campaign targeting Dufour.[1]

It is thought that the motivation behind the recall efforts is linked to the votes cast by Dufour and Craig in April 2011 to reassign the Mansfield Elementary School principal.[1]

Path to the ballot

Recall organizers must collect 542 signatures of registered voters in District 4 to force a special recall election to remove Dufour, and 527 signatures of District 9 voters to force a recall election directed at Craig.[1]

The signatures must be obtained within 180 days from June 22, 2011.[1]
