Cynthia Marie Lummis (b. September 10, 1954) is a Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives from the state of Wyoming. Lummis represents Wyoming's at-large congressional district, and was first elected to the House in 2008.

Biography

Lummis earned her B.A. and B.S. in Animal Science and Biology and worked on her family's ranch before becoming the youngest women to be elected to the Wyoming Legislature. After serving in the Wyoming House of Representatives, she went back to the University of Wyoming to earn her J.D. She then practiced law and eventually returned to politics.[1]
