Ballot question (Colorado)

A ballot question as it is defined by the Colorado Legislative Council is "a proposition which is in the form of a question meeting the requirements of Section 20 (3) (c) of article X of the state constitution, but which does not refer to specific state legislation or a specific amendment to the state constitution."^[1]

The term in used to distinguish a certain type of ballot measure that is referred to the ballot by the Colorado General Assembly from two other types of referrals:
