Founded in 1979, APC has collected more than 120 million signatures on 500 ballot initiatives in twenty states. The firm is directed by Michael Arno. APC primarily, but not exclusively, works on conservative and libertarian ballot measures.
Petition drives
2010
- California Proposition 16 (June 2010). "Direct Voices", a subsidiary of APC, was paid $2,199,794 to collect signatures to qualify Proposition 16 for the June 8, 2010 ballot in California.[1]
2009
- APC gathered signatures to put the Ohio Casino Initiative (2009) on the November 3, 2009 ballot. [2] The overall validity of the signatures were certified at just under 51%. [3]
2008
- In late 2007, APC was hired to collect signatures for the Presidential Election Reform Act . This ballot measure was ultimately abandoned. It aimed to change California's system of choosing representatives to the presidential Electoral College.[4]
- Arno Political Consultants collected the signatures to qualify the California Tribal Gaming Compacts (2008) for the February 5, 2008 ballot, earning $947,745.88.[5]
- APC collected the signatures to qualify Proposition 98 for the June 2008 California ballot, earning $900,000.[6]
- APC collected the signatures to qualify the Proposition 3, the Children's Hospital Bond Act for the November 2008 ballot at a cost of about $1,028,000.[7]
