The Arizona Property Tax Cap Amendment, also known as Prop 13 Arizona to its supporters, may appear on the November 6, 2012 ballot in the state of Arizona as an initiated constitutional amendment. The measure would limit property taxes in the state by capping the property tax rate at 0.5% for residential property and 1.0% for other real property. In addition, according to the Arizona Secretary of State's website, it would also eliminate all exceptions to the tax caps and would limit valuation increases to 2% or less per year.[1]
