Contents

An effort to recall Anthony Traficanti, John McNally and David Ludt from their positions as county commissioners in Mahoning County, Ohio was announced in March 2010.[1]

The Fraternal Order of Police is behind the recall effort. They are upset because county budget cuts are requiring the county's sheriff to lay off a third of his staff and close half the county jail.[2]

The recall was ultimately abandoned. As of January 2011, the commissioners of Mahoning County are John McNally, Carol Rimedio-Righetti and Anthony Traficanti.

Path to the ballot

16,000 signatures on recall petitions will be necessary to force a recall vote.
