Ballot title
The official ballot title that Alabama voters saw read:[2]
Relating to Lawrence County, proposing an amendment to the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, to authorize the Lawrence County Commission to use a portion of any funds or revenues from the operation and use of any landfill in the county, including, but not limited to, funds in or credited to its reserve account on the effective date of this amendment, for general county purposes, provided the county commission makes a determination that the funds are not needed for the operation and implementation of its solid waste disposal program. (Proposed by Act 2009-555)
